Insurance Agency Web Marketing

What is Insurance Agency Web Marketing? How does one do it? Why is it important? As we turn the calendar to 2011, and move further into the web marketing era, it is important to take a few moments to answer these questions.

Insurance Agency Web Marketing can be defined simply as a method of marketing insurance agency products or services via the internet. However, this is also a unique concept as insurance agency marketing campaigns do not simply sell a product, or a service – they must sell their ability to properly service a product. Then successfully deliver that message online.

An insurance agency can build a web marketing program that is very simple or highly complex. Based on the specific needs of the business, components of an insurance agency web marketing plan may include: an interactive website, a social media presence, and a search engine optimization program. A website that provides rich content, video, and the ability to communicate easily will yield greater results than a basic electronic brochure. Creating a presence on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter – and regularly posting useful information – will attract additional attention. And properly executed SEO will drive target prospects to a website.

Insurance agency web marketing is of critical importance in today’s marketplace. The typical consumer expects all credible vendors to be present in each of the aforementioned areas. If a business is not, they appear to be lagging behind the competition – which is not a great way to attract business. Communication has changed, and it will continue to evolve into a more web centric method. Make certain that all insurance agency marketing plan’s leverage the web to follow this trend in 2011 and beyond.
